Welcome to the Blue Bear Haven! Top Ten reasons to rent this one!
Whether you are a honeymon couple or a group of eight to ten, we want to thank
you for considering the Blue Bear Haven as your vacation destination in the Smoky
Mountains. We live year round on the mountain here in Gatlinburg so we know
what our guests want and need. Call or e-mail us and let us help you make your
vacation a Smoky mountain memory. Please take the time to read our Top Ten
reasons to rent this Chalet. The Blue Bear Haven offers the perfect blend of
Mankind and Mother Nature. Your choice, when visiting, is to simply turn right or
left at the base of our mountain in Gatlinburg. Turning left immediately brings you
into Downtown Gatlinburg and the main tourist area. Turning right brings you
into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Location, Location, Location!
1) Waving to the passengers on the Aerial Tram from either one of the two large
decks ( or the Hot Tub) always makes your heart smile with satisfaction. With Mt.
LeConte in the background, and the jealous tram riders waving back, you and your
family will be making memories which will never be forgotten.
2) The Blue Bear Haven is just what its’ name implies. A "Haven" of comfort and a
"Bear" of convenience. With the lower deck and the double sliding screen doors,
transferring luggage and foodstuffs into your Chalet from a level parking area, is a
mere three steps from your vehicle to the comfort of the indoors.
3) The upper deck is just as large as the lower deck. Gliders, chaise lounges, tables
and chairs, and lots of room to roam offer you the chance to truly enjoy the
mountain air in our nations most visited national park. From the upper deck you
can also gain access to the chalet through yet another set of double sliding patio
doors.
4) Whether you are cooking out on the charcoal grill, ordering a pizza, or creating
your own meal....the kitchen and dining area provides seating for eight (8). The
kitchen boasts a breakfast bar and is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave,
refrigerator, automatic ice maker, toaster, blender, mixer, coffeemaker, and all the
pots and pans (as well as dishes and silverware). The kitchen table seats four more
of your guests for dining, chatting, game playing, or just a spot to relax and watch
the activity in the livng room.
5) The Blue Bear Haven features a fireplace in the living room. Firewood is
provided seasonally. This room offers you a surround sound television with cable
service and a VCR ( a selection of VHS movies are provided for your convenience).
There is also a 5 disc CD stereo, a multitude of books for your reading pleasure, and
is always decorated in respect to the seasons and holidays.
6) Visiting the Great Smoky Mountains requires a bit of planning once you arrive
and start discussing the multitude of ways to enjoy your time here. That is why the
Blue Bear Haven offers a “ Visitors Center”. There is no need to travel any further
than the comfort of your couch to peruse all the activities and opportunities
available in the Smokies. Provided for you are brochures, discount coupons, maps
of the area, and an Owners Club Entrance Card which gains access to swimming
pools, tennis courts, etc. There are also speed dials set up on the phone for calling
the local favorite Pizza delivery service, tourist attractions, emergency numbers, and
your rental agents.
7) The Game room is where the action is! Everyone from teenagers to Grandma
will enjoy the Foosball table and the Game table! We provide a variety of board
games for the playtimes of all ages. There is also a seating area and yet another
television. The fireplace in the gameroom adds ambience to this Bear of relaxation.
Firewood is located right outside the door for your convenience. A washer and a
dryer is conveniently located behind two folding doors on the east wall as well.
8) The Blue Bear Haven has a rare ammenity not found in most Chalets here in
Gatlinburg. What better way to relax after a busy day of hiking, power shopping
the discount malls, or just after a busy day of vacationing.... than sipping your
favorite beverage at this convenient Wet Bar? This unique area gives you the
chance to take a well deserved break alone...... or with the whole gang.
9) Throw your swimwear on (or not) and hop into the outdoor hot tub. The tram is
in view of course, but you are going to be way more comfortable than those folks!
This Hot tub features a lightweight cover, a multitude of soothing jets, Jacuzzi
lighting, and it is located just a couple of steps from the indoor climate and
conveniences of the Blue Bear Haven Chalet.
10) The Blue Bear Haven provides two queen sized and two full sized beds in four
bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are on the upper level while the other two are on
the lower level. This ensures privacy for separate families, couples, or children.
Each set of bedrooms shares a full bath.

Two fireplaces, two phones, 4 cable TVs and 2 VCrs, 5 disc Cd player, Fully
equipped kitchen including automatic ice maker, microwave, dishwasher, and all
the necessities, BBQ grill, Washer and Dryer, Central Air, Hot Tub, Foosball and
Game tables, and a Wet Bar. All linens, paper products, utensils, firewood, assorted
novels and VHS tapes, dish and bath soaps, games, and visitors information will be
provided.
