Minutes from Maverick Mountain, hot springs, hiking trails, cross-country and more. Step out the door and you're practically in the Beaverhead/Deerlodge National Forest!
Points of interest, places to go and things to do.
Beaverhead County is rich in history and culture. If arriving in the spring, summer or fall, you may want to check out the museum in downtown Dillon. A wonderful collection of mining, ranching and Dillon history awaits you there.
Bannack State Park is a 20 minute drive from North Camp. Bannack was the territorial capitol of Montana in the late 1800's. Many of the old buildings are still in place. Each year around the 3rd week of July, Bannack holds its annual Bannack Days. Fun for the entire family!
Dillon hosts one of the biggest rodeos in Montana each year around Labor Day and a county fair that runs a week prior to the rodeo.
Lewis and Clark journeyed through the area and Beaverhead County boosts two locations, Jackson Hot Springs and Beaverhead rock, where the expedition stopped.
The famous Loop takes off right outside North Camp's door. You can travel over the Pioneer Mountain Scenic Byway to small rustic towns like Wise River, Wisdom and Jackson and be back before dinner!
North Camp is located at the entrance to the Beaverhead/Deerlodge National Forest but there are also other day trips to wilderness areas outside of Jackson, Wisdom and Wise River.
Arrangements can be made for horseback trips in the surrounding mountains. Rates depending on length of time out. There are about 150 miles of groomed trails in the area and snowmobiles are available to rent in several locations or bring your own.
If you enjoy skiing, Maverick Mountain is less than 10 minutes from North Camp. Lots of trails for the experienced and beginner skier alike. Family atmosphere. Seldom are there lines at the lift. Bunny hill for the kids. Head out on your cross-country skis if you prefer the solitude of the back country.
If you enjoy hiking, Coolidge Ghost Town located on the Byway, is worth the walk, or just head out the door at North Camp, Sawtooth Lake trail is a 10 minute drive away and the lake is about a 3 mile hike up.
Crystal Park is located on the Byway, a unique wooded area where crystals of all sizes can be dug up.
The area is rich in trout streams either on the Byway, around Dillon or fish one of the many other river accesses near Wise River and Wisdom. Arrangements can be made for fishing guides.
Attention Hunters! The Grasshopper Valley is a popular area where elk, mule deer and antelope abound.
The cities of Butte, Bozeman and Missoula are all within a 3 hour drive from North Camp is you want to take in "big city" life here in Montana.
PROPERTY AMENITIES
The kitchen is full, totally equipped, with a gas range with oven and hood, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, blender, elec. can opener, elec. coffee maker, etc. Stainless double sink, no dishwasher. Dishes, tableware, cooking utensils, food prep. and serving tools.
Full complement of bed linens, blankets and quilts. One queen sized bed, one double bed, one single bed and a two-person futon. Bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. Washing machine and drier. Central heat and a gas fireplace. Carpeting throughout except in kitchen and baths. Smoke and CO2 detectors, fire extinguishers in place. Satellite TV. Deck and picnic table. No Bar-B-Q facilities (fire hazard).

PROPERTY NOTES AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Check in time is after 3:00 PM. Check-out is before 10:00 AM of departure day.
This is a NON-SMOKING unit.
Damage/Reservation Deposit: A damage/reservation deposit of $200 is required. This must be received within seven (7) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward the rent, however it is fully refundable within 14 days of departure provided the following provisions are met:
a. No damage beyond normal use is done to the unit or its contents.
b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets, or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.
c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in trash can outside, dishes are done and put away, and one load of laundry (towels, sheets) is started.
d. All keys are left on the kitchen table and unit is locked.
e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
f. No linens are lost or damaged.
g. No early check-in or late check-out.
h. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or local law enforcement.
1. PAYMENT: An advance payment equal to 50% of the total rental fee is required 60 days before arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the rent. Please make payments in the form of traveler’s checks, bank money orders, cashier’s checks, or personal checks to North Camp. The BALANCE OF RENT is due fourteen (14) days before your arrival date.
2. CANCELLATIONS: A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
3. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: Number of guests is limited to 7 persons.
4. MINIMUM NIGHTS STAY: The minimum nights stay for non-holiday weekends is 2 nights. The minimum nights stay for holiday weekends is 3 nights.
5. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE: While linens are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate, however it is available at an additional rate.
6. RATE CHANGES: Rates are subject to change without notice.
7. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS: Any reservations obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit, and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.
8. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS: Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
9. ALL RATES ARE IN US FUNDS.
10. TAXES: Rates are subject to a 7% Montana State Accommodations Tax.
