Hale O Ani means House of Gentle Breezes. This single family home sits partially hidden by lush tropical vegetation on a quiet, residential street in Kilauea on the beautiful Garden Island of Kauai. Tradewinds blow through the home keeping it cool and comfortable.
There is a wheelchair ramp at the front of the house that leads to both the house and a large covered lanai where there are couches to relax on while you enjoy the tradewinds or listen to the rain. Flowering trees shed their blossoms in a blanket of color throughout the large back yard. There are lawn chairs situated under a gazebo style canopy on a concrete pad in the back yard so you can lounge in privacy. A BBQ grill is provided for your pleasure so you can enjoy an outdoor meal in our mild climate. Night blooming jasmine grows along the fence and fills the air with its sweet fragrance every evening.
There are 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and a third bedroom with 2 twin size beds. Every bedroom looks out on the backyard. The first bedroom sits directly across the hall from the bathroom. This bedroom and the bathroom have extra wide doorways to accommodate wheelchair access.
The living room has Hawaiian decor and large, overstuffed bamboo frame furniture. The dining area has a table that will seat 6 people. The full kitchen has a refrigerator with an ice maker, a microwave, a toaster oven and a portable dishwasher for your convenience. There are dishes, bakeware and cookware provided as well as various spices and condiments.
The large covered parking area has overhead racks to store kayaks, surfboards, kiteboards or anything else you'd like to keep up high.
The doors of the house are accessible from the covered parking so you never have to worry about getting wet during our refreshing Hawaiian rain showers.
Just minutes from downtown Kilauea, this house is optimally located near restaurants, shopping, the Post Office and a gas station. There is a farmer's market just minutes from the house every Sat. morning. There is also a craft fair every Thursday where local artisans showcase their beautiful creations.
The Kilauea Lighthouse and Wildlife Sanctuary are approx. 5-10 minutes away. There are numerous beaches within 10 minutes, some of which are off the beaten path and get minimal traffic. You have your choice of gently lapping water or the perfect break for body boarding and surfing. Kayaking and fishing are minutes away at a hidden beach near the heart of Kilauea.
Since we are centrally located it is easy to reach the Na Pali Coast or the major city of Lihue.
Beach mats, beach towels, snorkel equipment and a cooler are provided along with a list and map to all the beaches on the north shore of the island. If you have any questions or need anything at all during your stay we are at your disposal. Making sure your stay is memorable and pleasurable is our purpose.
Upon request we will make activity reservations before your arrival, find childcare, or even do your grocery shopping before you arrive. We have cooks to come to the home to prepare your meals or guides to take you fishing or show you the less travelled parts of the island. Whatever you wish while you are here in Paradise we will strive to provide.
