This historical, stilt home was built in 1932 and completely
renovated in 2003. As one of the oldest homes on the island, it
contains the charm of old Florida with the convenience and comfort
of today. It is surrounded by mature tropical vegetation, has all
wood floors, and a wraparound deck on three sides.
It is located less than one-half mile from the Pier and Times
Square, and is approximately 200 yards from the beach. There is a
beautiful, heated, community pool with a large, tube slide and
kiddie play area one-half mile away.
The Captain's Rest is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood
and there is no need to leave the island or rent a vehicle as there
are plenty of shops and restaurants a stone's throw away. There is
also a grocery store and post office nearby.
