Onyx House |
|
|
Onyx House is a charming, classic cottage located at the entrance to a redwood canyon at the foot of Mount Tamalpais in sunny, scenic Marin County, California, just 15 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco. It rents from Saturday to Saturday for $1400 US per week for two bedrooms (Max. 4 people.) One has a king-size bed and the other a queen. Up to two additional guests can be
accommodated in a room with a queen-sized bed in a separate studio building for an additional fee of
$400US per week. (This room does not have a bathroom, but is steps away from the house itself.) We also require a security deposit of $600, which is refunded after we get the telephone bill covering your stay.
Set on a quiet street in a lovely garden of fruit trees and flowering plants, Onyx House provides great privacy yet is within a short walk of historic downtown of Larkspur with its shops and gourmet restaurants. Built in the 1920's as a summer home for San Franciscans, Onyx House has been expanded and updated with modern amenities while retaining its original architectural allure. Within its sky blue exterior, Onyx House is fully
furnished with comfortable elegance and features an abundance of natural light, a cozy living room with fireplace, 2 full baths (one custom-designed with a soaker tub), an office/study, full kitchen
with all appliances, separate dining room, and laundry room with washer and dryer. Other amenities include hardwood floors, 2 TVs, DVD, stereo, piano, sunny outside decks, gas barbecue, covered patio and ample street parking. Linens, towels, dishes and cookware included. |
| Notes: |
Onyx House provides an ideal place for a delightful stay in Northern California's exciting Bay Area. Hiking trails through the redwoods or wetlands are nearby, and local parks have tennis courts, playing fields, children's playgrounds and wonderful views. Just thirty minutes away is the spectacular California coast and Marin County's gorgeous and varied beaches. Take in the panoramic views from the top of Mt. Tam, visit ancient redwood groves in Muir Woods, or take the Larkspur ferry across the bay, passing Alcatraz, for a lovely ride to the city. Marin is also home to great shopping, restaurants and cultural events of all kinds, such as the Mill Valley Film Festival, Sausalito Art Festival, and the renowned Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Civic
Center. Several excellent golf courses are within an easy drive. Wine tasting in the vineyards of Napa or
Sonoma County is just an hour to the north. |
