Las Cascadas, “The Waterfalls”, has it’s unique name because it truly does have two man-made waterfalls on the property! One of them falls into the gorgeous swimming pool, which also has a bridge going across it! As the kids would say…. truly awesome!
Cascadas is a 21st century Spanish Hacienda with 18th century charm and furnishings.
The downstairs has 2 bedrooms with king-size beds and private bathrooms (both w/ showers and one with tub also), dining room and large living room with a sweeping view of the ocean.
The upstairs has two bedrooms separated by an exterior courtyard with a lovely garden.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed, sitting area with sofa bed and a private bathroom with shower. The guest upstairs bedroom has a queen-size bed, a single bed and private bathroom with shower. All of the bedrooms in the villa have a view of the ocean, are air conditioned and have private balconies.
The views from Cascadas are breathtaking! A sweeping panorama of the aquamarine Caribbean Sea on the east and tropical jungle teeming with birds and wildlife on the west. The roof is a terrific spot to view the stars at night (yes, you can actually see them in Akumal!) and you can’t beat it as a place to be at Sunrise with a cup of coffee or sunset with a margarita. There’s a great built-in couch and table for your rooftop comfort.
Cascadas is only a few hundred yards from Akumal Bay which has one of the most beautiful beaches on the Caribbean coast, restaurants, the Kids Club, Dive Shops, Health Club, etc.
