Casa Independencia is an authentic small Mexican home, elegant, contemporary & colonial style house, located in a quiet area, with spectacular views of town and the mountains.
Furnished with folk art, hand loomed rugs, rustic wood chairs, clay tile floors and colorful Talavera tile in the kitchen and bathrooms.
A wood door set in a beautiful entryway opens to a lovely parking and small garden area featuring the abundant and colorful flowers of San Miguel. A walk along the entrance will bring you to a beautiful iron & glass door which lead you into a beautiful living room and dinning with boveda brick ceilings and a wood chimney.
You will love the cheerful Talavera tile of the colourful kitchen and the beautiful cabinets, carved by a talented San Miguel artisan.
The second floor has the guess bedroom, decorated with hand carved furniture and beautiful lamps. The adjoining room is used as a tv room-studio, the bathroom has beautiful talavera tiles and lots of light.
You have to pass throught the tv studio to go to the Master Bedroom, that has a beautiful terrace with a panoramic window that overlooks the city and the surrounding mountains whether you choose to snooze in the hammock during the day, or have drinks and watch the sun slowly set in the evening, this is where you can breathe deeply and at last enjoy the peace and tranquility that you deserve… the bathroom was decorated with talavera tiles.
Casa Independencia is furnished with linens, telephone, cable TV, a stereo and full kitchen supplies, including a microwave oven for your convenience. There is parking within the grounds of the house, for those of you who bring your car.
Located ten minute walk to the historical district. You can also take advantage of the city bus that leaves for town every 10 minutes just a block from the house, for the bargain price of $3.00 pesos, (30 cents) or grab a taxi for $20.00 pesos (2 dollars). It is perfectly safe to use public transportation, and will add to your Mexican experience.
Internet is at your own and cost from 22 us a month to 45 us a month.
Maid service is provided and cost 10 us every time you need her for about 3 hours.
