Whether interested in art cities or medieval hilltowns, in Etruscan sites or Renaissance gardens, our rental property on the Umbria - Lazio border is an ideal base for your explorations of three Italian beautiful and centrally located regions: Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany - The geografic and artistic heart of Italy. Villa Le Terrae is a vacation rental located in the Tiber Valley, on the border between Northern Lazio and Umbria Tuscia). • On three + levels, the villa can comfortably accommodate 8 to 10 people. Outside, in front of the kitchen, you will find an outdoor traditional wood oven to cook pizza and other typical dishes from the area. • SECOND FLOOR On the second floor a living room with fireplace opens up onto covered terraces all around facing the landscape and panoramic views of Umbria and Lazio hills, woods and hilltowns; two sofas, one converts to double bed. One half bathroom. • THIRD FLOOR The third floor has three bedrooms: a master suite with king size bed and ensuite bathroom with tub, one room with double bed (or two twins, depending of the guests preference), one room with small double bed (european size), and a bathroom with shower. • On the property there is a beautiful centuries old oak, among the largest ones in the area. Notes:

A vacation rental to explore Rome, Umbria, Northern Lazio and Southern Tuscany? Villa Le Terrae is in the ideal location. • Distances from places of interest Several small hill towns (stores, post offices, restaurants) in a range of 1 to few miles, some in Umbria and others in Northern Lazio• Three of the most renown Italian Renaissance Gardens within a radius of 15 miles (Northern Lazio)• Rail station on the main Rome-Florence route: 6.8 miles • Autostrada A1: 6.2 miles • Thermal olympic size pool: 5 miles • ROME 49 mi And all the art cities of Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany: • VITERBO 16 mi • ORVIETO 32 mi • SPOLETO 41 mi • TODI 42 mi • TARQUINIA 45 mi • ASSISI 67 mi • PERUGIA 68 mi • SIENA 103 mi • FLORENCE 131 mi. • Le Terrae (the earth) is the name of the parcel of land where our villa sits. The name comes from the lands history- it was here that the local artists took the clay used for the production of the earthenware (among these artists, our great-grandmother and her brothers, who ran a local kiln). There are beautiful views on the hills and Umbria and Northern Lazio towns and on the surrounding woods from the villa. The landscape of the region, Tuscia, from the name the Romans gave to the land of the Etruscans, is characterized by the warm colors of the underlying volcanic rocks, lush vegetation and dramatic land forms. These strong and unique features distinguish the area from the neighboring Umbria and Tuscany. What at a first sight appears to be flatland is actually rugged territory with high plateaus of soft tufo rock, through which the abundant waters of the Tiber tributaries have carved deep gorges and canyons, delimited by high perpendicular walls. In this natural setting the ancient hilltowns seem to be magically risen from the natural fortifications of the volcanic cliffs. The fertility of the soil and the richness of the water produce lush vegetation, dominated by oaks (Quercus robur). The region at the boundary between Lazio and Umbria is a territory characterized by natural beauty and an extremely rich historical and artistic legacy: Etruscan - Faliscan and Roman necropolis and sites, Medieval hilltowns, Renaissance palazzi, and gardens.
