Apartment Details
This fully-furnished apartment is located in Kalogreza (Veikou bridge junction), only 5 minutes away by car/bus or 7 minutes by metro(line 1) from the Olympic stadium, which is located within the Olympic complex at the Maroussi suburb. This is the main Olympic venue, where the opening and closing ceremonies, and most of the sports events will take place. Metro line 1 is the only line reaching directly the stadium during the Olympics. The apartment is also within walking distance from the stadium (~25 min walk). It is located on the fourth floor of a nice, five-floor corner building, adjacent to a park, with a terrific view of the famous Veikou hill. It is in excellent condition, sparkling clean, and meets the 2004 housing specs, as defined by the Olympic committee.
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, glasses, dishes, utensils, and cooking tools. Linens, towels, bedding, and tableclothes will be provided. All bedding and linen is new to assure extra comfort. There are extra large balconies on three of the four sides of the apartment.
The apartment is within walking distance from taxi stations, banks, drugstores, supermarkets, convenience stores, post office, restaurants, fastfoods, pastry shops, bakeries, and other shops. It is within 10-15 min by bus from the famous Halandri, Agia Paraskevi, and Nea Ionia markets where there is a large number of shopping centers, excelent restaurants, upscale cafes, and tavernas. Commuting by bus is very easy. Two different bus stations are located just outside the apartment building connecting with the metro station, the other Olympic venues, central Athens or the northern suburbs. There are also 4 more bus lines in 2-3 min walking distance with connections to east and west Athens. Finaly, the apartment is within walking distance(10 min) from Neo Iraklion and 5 min by bus from metro stations in Nea Ionia, which both connect with the main Olympic stadium, the rest of Athens, and the Pireaus port where hourly/daily departures to the famous greek islands take place. The historical Athens centre, where Parthenon, Acropolis, the Panatheneon, and the traditional Plaka/Monastiraki market places are located, is 20 min away by metro.
