Surrounded by vines and orchards, the three bed-roomed cottage sleeping six, with its own large garden, is part of a 14th/15th century property with swimming pool, set round a courtyard in 15 acres of parkland. The property is reputed to have been fortified against brigands in the 15th century.
Near the historic market town of Duras, Pierrot is a suitable centre for visits to the Dordogne valley with its world famous prehistoric cave paintings and cliff dwellings, the wine chateaux of St. Emilion/Bordeaux and Entre Deux Mers as well as the bastides (fortified towns) of the Guyenne, a region that provided the back-cloth to the 100 Years War.
